The Easy-Cut Menu and Toolbar contain functions
and tasks for working with Easy-Cut projects. The Easy-Cut Project Grid is displayed when one or more clips (video files) are added to a new Easy-Cut project and when an existing Easy-Cut project is opened. Each row in the "grid" represents part or all of a video file, or clip, and contains information about that clip. In the example below, we are looking at columns that were set up for Football, however Easy-Cut can be used for any sport, or for that matter any application in which data can be used to organize video.
The File Menu contains options for working with Easy-Cut projects and for customizing the Easy-Cut "columns" . ![]() A total of 6 Easy-Cut Categories and a Description text box are viewable on Easy-Cut's Project Manager, Project Preview and Video Editor. In addition to the built-in categories, it is possible to create as many custom categories as necessary for recording additional information about each clip by typing directly into the project Grid. A Preview "clip" (or Play) function makes it possible to select a row in the Project grid and view a single video clip immediately, with the ability to "toggle" to and from full-screen mode.
A Project Preview makes it possible to view multiple clips from a project at the same time. Project Preview displays the Description and the 6 built-in Categories for each clip or play in the project. Labels are displayed if they have been customized by the user, and the data for each category is visible. If the project has been "filtered", only those plays that match the filter "criteria" are displayed in the Project Preview.
