GENERAL SOFTWARE QUESTIONS
Question:
Does your software get installed on my computer, or
do I need an internet connection to run it?
Answer: All of our products are installed
on a desktop and laptop computer. No internet connection is
required.
Question: Are
there annual subscription or technical support fees for your software
like there are for many other products?
Answer: In most cases, no. Most of our product licenses are
sold, not "rented". This means our products are a one-time
purchase and there are no required annual subscription fees. In
some cases, we may offer a subscription "option" instead of, or
in addition to the license purchase.
In addition, while we offer software maintenance for a number of
products, it is optional. Question: Do you have demos or trial versions of your programs?
Answer: Yes. When a trial version is available you will either see a Download Trial button,
Request a Trial Link, or Order Trial CD Link in the
lower right column on the individual product description page.
We've tried to provide extensive screen shots and where appropriate sample reports so you can see the two most important parts of the programs.
Question:
Does your software work on a Macintosh?
Answer: All of our programs are written for PC's that run Microsoft Windows. We also offer Playmaker Pro (football only) for the Macintosh in a Mac-specific version. Newer Macs based on Intel processors
can run Windows using Apple's own software as well as third party products.
Schools usually have low-cost licensing agreements
with Microsoft, so often a Mac can run both Windows
and Mac software with no additional cost.
Question:
Does your software work with a PDA ?
Answer: We offer two products for
handheld computers (PDA) . A "PDA
module" that works on Palm, Pocket PC and Windows Mobile based PDA's
is included with our Football Statistics bundle. In addition, a
PDA based football scouting program, Easy-Scout Mobile Express
is available for PDA's that run on the Windows Mobile 5 and
6 Operating System.
