DEFENSIVE REPORTS

Overall Tendencies

Overall Tendency Reports reveal general tendencies of the team scouted during an individual game or series of games and are a great place to start the analysis process. The term Overall indicates that no special criteria, "filter" or "sort" was applied when analyzing the game data collected.

Please note that the sample illustrations below were recreated from actual reports and are only only two examples of the Overall Defensive Tendency reports.  Also included are Overall Coverage and Overall Stunt Tendency reports.

The Overall Front Tendency report provides a snapshot of Defensive Front "usage" - without respect to Down and Distance, Hash, etc.

It is typically one of the first reports a coach should look at, as it identifies a team's favorite fronts and the amount of yards that were given up when that front was used.

Also included is a report that provides similar information for Pass Coverages.  Blitzes are entered using your own terminology.

The Overall Blitz Tendency Report shows how frequently a team blitzes , their favorite blitzes and how successful those Blitzes are.

The yardage gained and average yardage per play is helpful especially in "Self-Scout" analysis.

Also included is a report that provides similar information for Stunts.  Stunts are entered using your own terminology.
