OFFENSIVE REPORTS

Overall Tendencies

Overall Tendency Reports reveal general tendencies of the team scouted during an individual game or series of games and are a great place to start the analysis process. The term Overall indicates that no special criteria, "filter" or "sort" was applied when analyzing the game data collected.

Please note that the sample illustrations below were recreated from actual reports and are only only a small sample of the Overall Tendency reports.  Ball Carrier and Pass Pattern tendencies, Hole Hit and Pass Zone Hit reports are also included in Easy-Scout.

The Overall Formation Tendency report provides a snapshot of Formation "usage" - without respect to Down and Distance, Hash, etc.  It is typically the first report a coach should look at, as it identifies a team's favorite formations, whether a particular formation is a Run or Pass "set" and the "productivity" of a particular formation.

The Overall Play Tendency Report provides a snapshot of Play "usage" - without respect to Down and Distance, Formation, etc.  It is typically the first report a coach should look at, as it identifies a team's favorite plays and whether there is a right or left side "tendency".   The yardage gained and average yardage per play makes it possible to identify the "bread and butter" plays".

The report is grouped by Runs and Passes and includes Wide/Short and To/Away from Formation Strength totals.

The Overall Receiver Frequency report shows a team's favorite receivers and its success in completing passes to and gaining yards with a specific receiver.

This report provides extensive details about each occurrence of each play used by the team being scouted.

A handy tool for developing "scout team" scripts or for performing "Play Effectiveness" analysis during a "Self-Scout", we developed this report on request last season.  We liked it enough and found it to be quite useful, so we included it in the Easy-Scout and Self-Scout programs.
