Use the Easy-Scout
XP Analyzer Import/EXPORT Games utility to move
individual game files between computers, or from Easy-Scout XP to Easy-Scout
XP Analyzer and vice versa.
In most cases, this task will not be
performed in Analyzer, but rather in Easy-Scout XP itself if both are
installed on the same computer. This is because when both programs are
installed on the same computer the Analyzer game
data will be overwritten by the data from Easy-Scout XP each time Analyzer
is started. If you do want to use this feature, it is important to first
UNCHECK the Use Easy-Scout XP data setting.
IMPORTANT: If you Analyzer Pro, you
will have an Import Games button on your main screen. Click the
Import Games button if one is present on your main Analyzer screen to
launch Easy-Import for importing games.

The Import and Export Game function, performed on the screen below
, provides a means for saving and retrieving individual
game data. It is important to understand the difference
between Import and Export, Backup and Restore and the "Use
Easy-Scout Data" setting. The latter two functions copy any
and all game data files to and from Analyzer, where Import and
Export creates and reads an individual file that contains just the
plays from a single game.
Import
Use the upper portion of this screen to import
individual game information. To
import a game you must first locate a previously exported game. To
do this, use the ellipses (…) button. The file will have the same
name as the game with a .dbf file extension. (I.E. MYGAME.DBF) After
you have located your game, press the import button.
If the game you have chosen is not in your current data set, the
program will automatically import your game data. However, if your
chosen game is already in your current data set, the program will
prompt you to "Overwrite" or "Rename". If you choose "Overwrite",
any pre-existing plays will be overwritten with the ones from your
chosen game. If you choose "Rename", you will be prompted to input a
new and unique game name to save the plays to.
Export
Use the lower portion of this screen to export game information.
The export feature is very similar to the import feature described
above; however, you are able to select multiple games for export
via the "mover" object. To use the "Mover" , select desired games from the
Available list on the left and move them to the Selected
Games list on the right. You can move games between these two
lists by double-clicking on a game name, by selecting games and
using the buttons located between the two lists or by "dragging and
dropping" from one list to another.
The ellipses (…) button is used to locate the folder where the
exported files are to be placed. Both the import and export uses a
default directory or folder of: "[program
directory]/data/export/games"
