Working with Game Properties in Easy-Scout Professional Each game in the Easy-Scout Professional
database has a Game Name. In addition, a Game may have two "properties", or
attributes: Comments and a Video File "association". Game
Name - The Game Name groups plays into a collection. Games Names consist of up to 15 characters,
which can be a combination of Letters and Numbers.
Game Names should begin with Letters, NOT
include punctuation and each Game must be given a different GAME NAME, meaning
it must be unique (not previously used).
Game Comment - Game Comments include descriptive information and notes about the game.
(Optional) Game Video File - In Easy-Scout XP
Professional, it is possible to associate a video file
that is in one of the supported video formats (wmv,
avi or mpeg) with "scouting" or play
identification data.
The Game Properties screen,
shown below, makes it possible to change the name of a game, add or change
comments, and identify a video file that should be associated with that game.
The "VCR" Buttons make it possible to navigate
through the games in the Easy-Scout database. Changes to any of the Game
Properties can be made by clicking in one of the text boxes and typing. Changes
can be Saved (save) or Discarded (revert) by clicking the appropriate button. It is possible to "link", or associate a video file
that is stored on a drive attached to the computer running Easy-Scout XP
Professional with game data that has previously been entered
using the Game Properties function. This is done by clicking Browse to locate and select
a video file in one of the supported video formats (wmv, avi and mpg) and
clicking SAVE to "associate", or connect the
video file and game data that was
entered previously. |
