Using the Easy-Scout Professional Menu

All functions and commands available in Easy-Scout Professional can be accessed from Drop Down Menu items listed along the top of the main window (File, Edit, Game, Report Manager, Utilities, Help) - just above the toolbar

Menus consist of one or more options related to the Menu title.

The most frequently used Menu is the Game Menu, which is used for Managing Information  (adding, editing and deleting Games, Splitting Games, Copying Games and setting Game Properties). The Game Menu also launches the Video and Play Analyzer (View Games).

In Easy-Scout Professional, a "game" is a collection of plays that are grouped and stored together by a game name. A "game" includes information about the plays in the game and may also include a "pointer" to a "digital video file" on the user's computer, external hard drive or network drive that contains the "video" of that game.   The two (the game and play "data") and the "digital video file" are "related", or connected; however they are physically separate.

A Game may include all plays in a football game (Offense, Defense and Special Teams) or it may be broken into one ore more subsets - including Offensive, Defensive and Special Team plays.  This design flexibility can make it easier and more efficient to edit and analyze video and to print tendency reports, and it takes just a few keystrokes to use Easy-Scout's Split Game Utility to create games (play collections) as required.

The Report Manager is a tool for quickly printing Offensive OR Defensive tendency reports when a game contains ONLY Offensive or Defensive Plays.  One or more standard, built-in reports can be printing for single or multiple games to reveal Offense OR Defensive tendencies.

*Reports can also be printed from the Data and Video Analyzer when the user wants to "filter" plays based on one or more specific criteria.

The Utilities Menu provides access to a number of settings, maintenance and program customization functions.
