Easy-Cut is a simple and affordable video editing software application.  At a cost of only $195,  Easy-Cut sets a new price/performance standard for sports editing applications.

What it does:

Easy-Cut provides fast-access, data-driven video playback of one or more digital video "clips", or plays, and can produce "cutups" by extracting and then splicing plays into a new video file. 

Easy-Cut "projects" consist of one or more plays from one or more games.  "Clips", or plays in an Easy-Cut project can be described, or categorized using any or all of the built-in category and comment "fields" and can be further customized according to individual requirements. The project can then be sorted and filtered to produce a video in the exact playback sequence desired. An easy-to-use "title" tool creates text "slides" in a variety of colors and sizes that be used to organize plays, introduce sequences, provide player information or summarize coaching points of emphasis. 

"Cutups" can be created as Windows Media or DIVX video files that are smaller and more "portable" than the originals - ideal for copying to a flash memory device, burning to a CD or DVD or uploading to a team web site, YouTube or one of the many new online video sharing services.

For outputting to VHS tape, Easy-Cut includes a "VCR" output option that records to any device that can be connected to a Video Out port (S-Video) port on a notebook computer or Graphics card.

Who can use Easy-Cut?

While Easy-Cut was designed to be a companion product for Easy-Scout XP Professional, CompuSports'  video-enabled football scouting software, it can be used for any sport and for that matter, any application where the combination of video and data-based indexing and search-driven capabilities is required.
